Community Support

Because of a generous donation from a local Squamish family the Squamish Hospital now has a CCHD monitor that will be used to test for congenital heart defects before a baby is discharged, giving the baby the best opportunity to thrive. 1 in 4 babies are born with congenital heart defects, some needing surgery or multiple surgeries within the first year. Your donations allow the Squamish Hospital Foundation to make purchases like this; providing the staff at SGH the tools to enhance the service provided to the community within the Sea to Sky Corridor.

Another item the Squamish Hospital Foundation is hoping to fund with donations from the community is a tool that will allow a quick pain free Bilirubin test to be administered for jaundice. This piece of equipment allows for babies to be tested without a needle prick and gives bedside results. Your donations this holiday season will bring this valuable tool to our Hospital.
